Scenes from America’s Christmas

Pieces on Earth

Here the season’s greeting from the Facebook page of Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore (4th Assembly District) (h/t TPM):

She’s a Republican. But you knew that, didn’t you?

She’s also famous for promising to take up arms with Cliven Bundy. In addition, she has a minor, $1 million, federal tax problem. But she’s not to blame. She says her husband was her accountant, and it must be his fault. Plus an employee stole from her. (Republican devotion to “personal responsibility” does not extend to tax obligations.)  When she lost her chairmanship of the tax committee as a result, she blamed it on a war against conservatives in the Nevada legislature. (There’s war everywhere. That’s why you must be fully armed at all times.)

The cute 5-year old carrying the Walther P22 (LR) in Assemblywoman Fiore’s Christmas greeting reminds me of another cute holiday picture we saw a while back:

This is from the document dump by the Connecticut State Police after the report on Adam Lanza.

Remember: Christmas is the recommended season for instilling a love of guns in young boys. And if you get them early enough, who’s to say what can happen?

  1. Americans – particularly white, conservative Christians – are losing or have already lost their collective minds.

  2. Thank you. I just visited Michele Fiore’s official Facebook page and was reminded once again how openly proud are the vile among us. As were the First Amendment written as a vehicle for interpretation by twisted mongers of the ambiguously worded Second Amendment. Not only are the images and expressions on this card of Christmas cheer abhorrent to seekers of “Peace on Earth”, but fervor to gain a seat on her bandwagon lends it testimony legion.

  3. That is so frightening I don’t know what to say. I have to agree with Robert. It makes me want to move out of the country.

  4. Sad commentary on the ignorance and apathy that allow folks with such a warped sense of life to be elected as policy-makers.
